Beach Trip
This weekend we decided to get out of the heat and go visit Ryan’s sister in Santa Maria. When we left Bakersfield it was over 100 and when we got there it was 64. It was so nice! Preston loved playing with Katie’s dogs, Annie and Pepper. He was really cute. We took Preston to the beach for the first time. It was really windy, but he seemed to enjoy it. There were so many new things for him to look at and learn about. We also got to meet Katie’s new boyfriend, James. We had a lot of fun and it was really hard to drive back to the 100 degree weather. Is it time for summer to be over yet??
At breakfast this morning Preston was very active and excited to touch anything on the table. So when Katie was done eating her orange slice we let Preston chew/suck on the peel. Normally I won’t let anyone put anything in his mouth, but I’m warming up to it as he is getting older.
Just as a side note we are trying to figure out why Preston is ok in the carseat by himself, but when someone is sitting next to him he screams. He did it last weekend when his Grandpa was sitting by him, and again this weekend when his Auntie was sitting by him. He was ok when there was just one person on the seat next to him, but I guess he has a bubble of personal space and needs two seats in the car or something. Hopefully this won’t last and he’ll grow out of it.
